The NATO Chess Logo

To identify the uniqueness of each NCC, the host country is encouraged to create an own logo. As a support tool, there are template logos available. The host country can create a tournament logo by slight modifications in a template logo. For example, the NCCs of 2014, 2015 and 2016 have a logo that is slightly different than a template logo. The use of a template logo is not compulsory. The host country is free to design an own logo for the tournament. For example, the logos of the NCCs of 2017, 2018 and 2022 have their own logos.

Here are some template logos.

In these 2 templates, the place of the flag is not optimal, with the result that the flag does not have a good retangle. Each host country had an own solution.
In NCC 2003, NCC 2009 and 2010 this was solved by placing a flag as a square and moving the left squares a bit to the left, to create space for the flag.

In NCC 2004 this was solved by placing a flag as 3 squares and moving the left squares a bit to the left, to create space for the flag.

In NCC 2014 this was solved by placing a flag as less than 6 squares and omitting the lower part of the NATO sign, and moving the left squares a bit to the left, to create space for the flag.
