Arriving Berlin by airplane at TXL!

We intend to pick you up at the gate when you arrive at Tegel airport (TXL). So you should see someone with the „NATO Chess Logo“, if we know when and where you arrive. In this case, don’t worry if you don’t see someone directly, he’ll be back!
If we do not have specific information about your arrival (for example heavy delay, different gate or flight), just follow the yellow sign (see picture below) for „Bus“.

  • If you then see a bus with the „NATO Chess Logo“, it’s okay.
  • If you don’t see one, call me so I can send it!

If you are outside, on the left hand side you’ll find a parking lot, where the busses usually are.

Arriving Berlin by train!

Meeting point for pickup service will be the „Friedrich-List-Ufer“ at the south portal of Berlin central station (in german: Berlin Hauptbahnhof)

Orientation:

When you arrive at railway station, look outside and see the „chancelor’s residence“ (left) and the „Swiss embassy“ (right) at the south portal, you are right!

  • If you then see a bus with the „NATO Chess Logo“, it’s okay.
  • If you don’t see one, call me so I can send it!

Arriving Berlin by car!

Use address below in the navigation-system of your car/ smartphone.

Location: Julius-Leber-Barracks
Kurt-Schumacher-Damm 41
13405 Berlin

Notice:
The inner city of Berlin has a zone with emission related restrictions. It's not allowed to drive inside the zone with a car of high emissions.
Julius-Leber-Barracks is located outside this zone and all highways in and around Berlin are not restricted!
So, if you use the highways directly to the barracks you should be fine!
